Sara Hall
To find where the Target app succeeds and its overall pain points.
Understand the relationship the Target app has with its users.
Objectives
RESEARCH
Age: 21
Primary Use: Shopping, Pick up, Store locator
Profession: Student
“Can you describe any specific frustrations you’ve had with the Target app?”
It would be great if coupons automatically applied when you scan your barcode at checkout. It would save the extra step of having to search and apply them manually, making the process a lot smoother.
Age: 72
Primary Use: Groceries, Price match and coupons
Profession: Retired
”Is there a specific feature you think the Target app is missing that would improve your shopping experience?”
Easier application of coupons and less overwhelming content
Survey
1 on 1 interviews
RESULTS
In our various means of getting information from target app users, the standing out comment is for easier coupon application and personalization of coupons and recommendations.
So with the feedback I wanted to direct my attention to building and prototyping an automatic coupon scan feature for user on the app purchasing in-store items

FINAL DESIGN
REFLECTION
There are points of improvement where I would go to if I had more time from past feedback ive gotten such as
Add a bar at the end of in-store coupons to circle back
Home page a view more on personalized deals in the home page instead of the carousel
For the page of the pop-up ( add continue to check out for easy navigation less confusing of 1 add to cart)
Overall I am happy with the product of hypothetically impending a way to automatically apply coupons when scanning in store and easier ways to apply coupons on the app to generate more savings
